Scandal at Scourie
with Walter Pidgeon
Released June 15, 1953
Directed by Jean Negulesco, produced by Edwin H. Knopf, based on a story by Mary McSherry.
Cast - Greer Garson, Walter Pidgeon, Agnes Moorehead, Philip Ober, Donna Corcoran, Arthur Shields
Synopsis: A Protestant couple shock their Canadian community when they adopt a Catholic child.
Comments: The last pairing of Garson and Pidgeon in a film that, like their first Blossoms In The Dust, involved adoption. The chemistry was still there, but the weak story line of Scandal at Scourie failed to bring in movie patrons and the film suffered at the box office.
Next Film - Julius Caesar
